Artist's Statement

Works of art, in whatever form they may take, are expressions of the artist. What an artist sees and how he captures or depicts what he sees says as much about an individual as anything he might write. Every artist aspires to communicate through his work the emotions that led to its creation; emotions so shared can be significant.

I hope that you can see from my work why I do what I do.

Bio

Tom’s lifelong passion for photography, fuelled by the advent of ‘things digital’, has driven him to depict what he sees through the lens in ways that, at times, render his many and varied subjects magically artistic. A relative newcomer to the beauty of the Northumberland Hills, Tom has been busy developing a growing portfolio of images depicting life in the Hills. Images of his occasional travels elsewhere may appear from time to time.
