Artist's Statement
The paintings continue. My journals continue. Themes that started thirty five years ago run parallel to each other. Athletes, portraits , dress images, water images, chance, synchronicities and images of daily life.
I am working towards a show and pace the day with the joy of painting and hope that it delivers a positive delivery to the audience. I believe that I am documenting women who beat the odds. I am going after emblems that crack that glass ceiling.
Behind each and every image is the land. The colour of the Northumberland Hills in the late fall and early winter.
