Deborah is deeply committed to music education at many levels. As an experienced teacher, she seeks to find each student’s learning style and balance the challenges of learning new skills with a sense of fun. Her students range in age from 4 to 60+ . She directs a fiddle group for young people called “String Fever,” which has developed out of her regular Suzuki group class, and they enjoy entertaining at community events around the county.

The Arcadian Duo - Fred Cory & Deborah Henderson

Deborah also performs with partner Fred Cory on flute as The Arcadian Duo. With a partnership of over 10 years, Fred and Deborah are experienced professionals with an extensive repertoire of baroque and classical selections. Live music of this nature lends a unique atmosphere of elegance and sophistication to weddings and other special occasions, particularly in outdoor settings, where music requiring a power source is not possible.
