Copyright and Contract Information for Artists workshop in
Peterborough on March 6th, 2:00 pm Art Gallery of Peterborough,

skills? The Royal Conservatory, with the support of the Ontario Arts Council, is pleased to offer the Artist-Educator Foundations Course for artists who are already engaged in arts education, and for those who would like to learn more about arts education. Players – Sweeney Todd, February 26 to March 6th, at the Capitol, Port
Hope. The 1979 Tony Award winning musical is based on a 1973 play Sweeney
Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street by Christopher Bond. The musical
tells the story of Benjamin Barker, alias Sweeney Todd, who returns to
London after 15 years transportation on false charges. When he learns from
his former landlady that his wife poisoned herself after being raped by
the judge who wrongly transported him (Judge Turpin by name), he vows
revenge. This is one of
Stephen Sondheim's (West Side Story, Into the Woods, Company, Side by Side

Priddle for her complimentary demonstration of renowned 19th century
artist William Waterhouse's paintings and his techniques of using
verdachio underpainting, colourful transparent glazing and scumbling
techniques which made him a winner of the international salon Competitions
on several occasions in the late 1800's. Lorrie will show a sample of the
pthalo green and black thinned down verdachio underpainting technique, the
extensive colourful underglazing and then scumbling technique used for
clothing and background painting used by Waterhouse. These old techniques
can be useful to today's artists to create fabulous paintings. Lorrie will show a completed
painting she has done in this style and show an underpainting and
completed poster example of Waterhouses' famous painting called "The Lady
of Shallot." The Henderson Family
Trio (composer & pianist Ruth Watson Henderson, and daughters Karen,
cello, and Deborah, violin) will be performing together --a RARE
occurrence - On Sunday February 28th, at 4 pm. United Church, Port Hope, this recital is part of the Royal
Canadian College of Organists Lenten Series, and will feature 3
compositions by Ruth Watson Henderson: a new fanfare for organ; a suite
for violin & organ; and her setting of Psalm 23 for mezzo soprano
& piano. The programme will also include a Haydn Trio and some other
works for violin, cello and piano. ORGAN RECITALS for LENT, SUNDAYS AT 4:00 pm. The Northumberland Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists is again presenting its annual Lenten Organ Recital Series in 2010. captured the various visual pleasures our Northumberland County has to
offer “as seen through the eyes of a
newcomer”. Spirit
of the Hills ‘Mpumalanga Memories’
and features photographs taken by Jane Osmond during two mission
trips to Mpumalanga Province in South Africa in 2008 and 2009. at the 100 Mile Diner,
Warkworth. Osmond’ photography demonstrates a
broad palette of imagery: startling beauty, inexplicable joy, and
overwhelming contrasts. She
saw startling beauty in the African people, especially the children, as
well as in the wild animals in their natural habitat. Inexplicable joy
burst forth in spontaneous a cappella singing and dancing even while these
young people struggled to overcome adversity. There were overwhelming
contrasts in the rich and the poor, in modern shopping malls and country
markets, and in the beauty of the land. This African experience brought
tears and laughter, sorrow and joy. Until February
