Showing at the Art Gallery of Northumberland: Melanie Browne - Making art is motion. Starting with one thing always leads to another” These works exemplify this principle. Using old images, textiles, found objects and traditional media, these works have evolved in wandering, roving lines that combine in unexpected ways. The resulting exhibition is a conversation between the two artists and their shared experienced with contrasting material.

And Pat Stanley - The artist examines the tensions generated by the interaction of man-made and natural landscapes. She uses experimental painting techniques and a mixture of both abstract and representational imagery to capture and communicate the effects of environmental stress on both urban and rural structures.
