The Arts Council of Northumberland encourages creativity and raises
the visibility of the artist and the arts community through advocacy,
communications and leadership. This newsletter covers theatre, music, lectures,
films, workshops and exhibitions. A separate, edition is devoted to the visual

- "Living Within the Means of Existence" (kinetic and light based
paintings and sculptures), A.K.Collings Gallery,
Port Hope. Rui Pimenta is an emerging
artist who works with water-based fluid media (inks, latex and resin) on
transparent surfaces. His multi-layered and three dimensional work defies
categorization : it is both painting and sculpture.The
exhibition consists of 6 of Pimenta's light boxes,
and one large, singularly beautiful kinetic mobile, which occupies the entire
back wall of the space. He has transformed this small gallery into a
glittering jewel box: beautiful by day and spectacular by night. "Exposed", The 5th
Annual Photographic Exhibition by the Northumberland Photography Club. at "Meet at Second fine arts show at the
Spirit of the Hills Showcase Gallery featuring thirty-six (36) works of art,
sculpture and stained glass, until Sunday November 8th. As a Member of the Spirit of the
Hills, The Colborne Art Gallery is also submitting work from three of their
