Neurartic Blog.Ties that Bind: Part 1

June is Wedding Month and in keeping with that, the current exhibition at A.K. Collings Gallery is entitled "Ties that Bind".

Westben Receives $42,000 in Federal Funding. "Westben is thrilled to receive funding from the Government of Canada," said Donna Bennett, Marketing and Advancement Director of the Westben Concerts at The Barn. "Our goal is to enrich communities through music. This support will help bring outstanding musicians to The Barn to work together and create unique programming. It is thrilling to see the creativity and enrichment that arise from musicians meeting for the first time and rehearsing and performing music."

A First Look at ‘Happy Town Port Hope is clearly recognizable in this upcoming ABC network program slated for fall release.

Your Editor Abroad in Berlin, Paris and Munich:

A Haus For Literatur -Munich has a house for books and in it a great café for people who want to talk about them. The city is the publishing metropolis in Germany and even Europe. It is nor surprise then that the three floors of the Literaturhaus on the historic Salvatorplatz in the heart of Munich, have been a haven for all things literary.

Proust Up Close and Intimate. I just had time to peruse another exhibition I almost literally stumbled upon – ‘Cher Ami…Marcel Proust in the Mirror of his Correspondence’, an exhibition of the Munich Literaturhaus. The Paris Biblitheca Proustiana had lent their treasures and the Institut Francais and the Munich Proust Society had made sure that they were shown tobest effect.

The Forsyth Report: The Woolgatherer at First Stages I went to see The Woolgatherer at the Capitol Theatre and I can tell you that Lauren Page Russell and Beau Dixon are extraordinary in what must be very difficult parts to nail down. They nailed ‘em.

The Forsyth Report: Three Tall Women At First Stages. It’s one of those cases of “you had to be there”. And if you weren’t you missed yet another stunning production from First Stages Theatre Company and its fearless leader Robert Latimer. The actors – Corinne Conley, Jillian Cook, Godric Latimer-Kim (Robert’s daughter) and Sean Tasson as the son – were to have been directed by Maria Heidler who fell ill and Robert had to take over at noon on the day of the performance. The results of his nerve-racking, 11th - hour experience were spellbinding.
