Individuals: Visual Artists: Stephen Snider
Bio
Stephen studied fine arts at the University of Ottawa and is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art. He has been a freelance illustrator for 26 years, working for ad agencies, book and magazine publishers as well as working for corporate clients. His work is in the Canadian War Museum and has travelled with the Canadian Armed Forces to cover peace time activities and has also produced numerous International Air Show posters.
He presently works out of his Warkworth studio. He is kept busy with his commercial art work as well as his fine artwork paintings of landscapes and cityscapes. He spends his time painting Muskoka scenes, downtown Toronto scenes, historical portrait montages and home portraits. He has also been teaching basic drawing and painting in Grafton and Warkworth the last couple of years. Classes are still available from Mr. Snider. Stephen will be setting up a new studio in Port Hope for 2009.
